Behavior Basics Volume 2

This book is the second in the Behavior Basics Series and it follows from the first volume in teaching parents about the basic principles of behavior science. This volume teaches parents how to apply the principles explained in Volume 1. Parents will learn how to break down a learning goal, how to teach a chain of behaviors, how to replace undesirable behaviors, how to expand skills to new settings, how to use reinforcement schedules and what to do if previously learned skills start to deteriorate. The TAGteach method of breaking skills down, starting at a point of success and delivering immediate positive reinforcement is described.This book is aimed at autism parents, but the science of behavior applies to all learners, both child and adult. This book contains vital information to help parents understand what their child's behavior therapist may be doing and gives parents the tools and information they need to encourage positive behavior change on their own.
