Beginnings...

Life is hard and sometimes overwhelming for Jessa and her best friend Lynne as together they raise Jessa's young son Sam. They work hard at their jobs; Jessa a supervisor at a behavioral health clinic for young women and Lynne a new elementary school teacher for special education. As they go about their daily lives balancing work, home, and relationships an unexpected meeting changes everything. Jessa is altered and tasked with changing the world though she has no idea how. Meanwhile Lynne is urgently pleaded with by a stranger to protect her friend. Now the world is turned upside down as a rash of natural disasters change the face of the earth as we know it. With a madman on the loose bent on the destruction of the world Jessa and Lynne must find their way to each other. Along the way they must discover who they can trust in the face of new powers that change these women's definitions of life. Time has already run out and the fate of the world rests on the decisions they make.
