Before the Doors

The worship of the gods of the oikos (household) was historically, and remains, the heart of Hellenic Religion. It is for this purpose that Volume Two of the Apollon: Worship and Prayer series be devoted to the regular worship paid to Apollon in his most common expressed functions within the pantheon of household deities. In this volume we explore epithets directly attached to his household cult, the historic worship practices given to him, and methods of implementing such in our regular household religious lives.
