Bedside Ultrasound in Critical Care Medicine presents the practical application of ultrasound to improve the diagnostic and procedural abilities of physicians caring for critically ill patients. The editor and authors have extensive experience in critical care ultrasound and have pioneered the use of transesophageal echocardiography and later transthoracic echocardiography in the ICU.
