Beauty, Art and Aesthetics

This book is divided into five parts, including On Beauty, On Aesthetics, On Arts, On Aesthetic Education and Supplementary: Life Aesthetics. Guided by the historical materialism and based on widely absorbing the Chinese and western aesthetic research achievements, this book carries out in-depth discussions and proposes unique opinions of several theoretical problems in the aesthetic field, such as the aesthetic research's subject, beauty's nature, the relations between aesthetics and beauty and arts' aesthetic characteristics & function. It also research some theoretical problems that fail to be discussed deeply in the past, such as the form of delicacy freedom, the nature of natural beauty, the mechanism for aesthetics to occur, the role played by instincts and unconsciousness in aesthetics, arts' origin and the relations between labor and witchcraft.
