Beautiful Math: See, Think and Wonder

Many children (and adults) think of math as a subject that needs to be explored in isolation during a 'math class'. In this book readers are introduced to the many different ways math is visible in children's artistic experiences. Noticing patterns and shapes in artwork, identifying lines of symmetry in pictures, and measuring to fit an art piece into a frame all help children notice and name the ways math helps them when creating and exploring art.
