Beskrivelse
A practice-oriented conception is what is new and specific about this basic manual in two volumes and what distinguishes it from other introductions to Ecumenism. It connects basic knowledge of key issues of ecumenical theology and practice with a didactical approach in the field of religious pedagogy in order to provide a deeper knowledge for different target groups. The first volume comprises in 15 self-contained chapters basic contributions to key ecumenical issues: the spectrum ranges from the presentation of historical developments, denominations, and classical controversial questions (sacraments, church, ministry) to fields of practice of the conciliar process, confessional-cooperative religious education and local ecumenical commitment. Being self-contained, volume one is ideally suited for self-study and in connection with volume two, 'Workbook with Resources' a basic workbook for study courses, school, adult education, and for the education and training of church employees and volunteers. The second volume contains proposals how the ecumenical topics, presented in volume 1, could be addressed, implemented and deepened in courses, seminars or training programmes. Apart from didactic suggestions and approaches, it offers various study materials in the form of schemata, charts, source texts, interpretations of images, and worksheets. The supplied CD-ROM enables digital access to resources to adapt them to the individual demands and work contexts of the users.
