BASICS OF MYTHOLOGY is a scholarly article that briefly explains the major archetypes or mythological figures in our cultural heritage. The author first introduces in the subject by explaining what archetypes are, and how our inner psyche is structured according to Transactional Analysis (TA), in an Inner Child, Inner Adult and Inner Parent, what the function of the Ego is, and how to deal with the Inner Shadow. He then explains the notions of Anima/Animus and Persona according to Jungian psychoanalysis. The process of individuation that is so often occulted in our modern consumer society then is then subject of analysis as the author found in twenty-seven years of research on sexual paraphilias, co-dependence and drug addiction that all these hangups have their reason in one or the other handicap during the process of individuation. The article then traits out the basics of the following archetypal images: - Castor & Pollux - Daedalus - Europa - Demeter - Hades - King Agenor - King Minos - Pasipha - Zeus The article comes with a short literature index and an extended contextual bibliography.
