The experiences in Dr. Joseph N. DeLuca's childhood helped him to learn perseverance and gain the ability to tolerate pain and discomfort. His story was written to be an inspiration to others.

Joseph N. DeLuca, MD, PhD, is a retired board-certified clinical psychologist and general practice primary care physician. He has written seven books for adults, all to enhance psychological health and wellness. In addition, he has written three books for young children designed to instill a positive attitude toward life. His children's books are part of the series "It's Fun to ..." Several more books in the series will be written over the next few years. As a psychologist, Dr. DeLuca has published numerous studies in professional journals as well as presented these studies at national and international professional meetings.
