The Ellies are a happy family who live on Barton Street, a small street on the north side of Sumter, South Carolina. Lonni, Tommy, and Johnny usually find themselves bickering. Dad warns them about their behavior, and Ma challenges them to see who can do the most kind acts. Who will win? Will it be Lonni? Will it be Tommy, or will it be Johnny?
