Beskrivelse
The martial art known as Bartitsu originated in England during the late 19th century. Integrating components from multiple combat disciplines such as jujitsu, savate (French kickboxing), and stick fighting, was the progenitor of this system.
The primary objective behind the development of Bartitsu was to provide gentlemen with a comprehensive self-defense system to counteract street violence and assaults. In recent years, there has been a renewed surge in interest regarding this system, especially among martial arts devotees with a penchant for historical combat systems, which contributed to its initial surge in popularity.
"Bartitsu" is an amalgamation of "Jujitsu", signifying the system's incorporation of both Western and Eastern martial arts principles. Practical techniques for armed and unarmed combat are prioritized, and strikes, throws, joint grips, and grappling maneuvers are utilized.
