Paxton Meyers is a young person. He should be out causing trouble with his friends, but instead he is doing everything in his power to avoid it. He shouldn't be concerned about what his four younger siblings are doing, but he is the one responsible for keeping them secure. He should have a promising career ahead of him, but for some reason, he doesn't even know whether he will survive another week. He ought to have two loving parents, but he was given an alcoholic and a jerk for parents.
Living in a room full of broken bottles while barefoot is how Paxton describes his life.
What transpires, though, when Paxton meets someone who is eager to demonstrate for him what genuine love, trust, and friendship are? Will Paxton be prepared to let his guard down and, for the first time in his life, enjoy himself? Or have his past relationships already destroyed any opportunity for new ones to develop?
Can one youngster truly aid Paxton in gathering all the shattered pieces and locating a way out?
