Rachel is born into a family with a sister who is six years old and furious when her parents bring baby Rachel home from the hospital. Rachel recalls her earliest memories through childhood and adulthood of Mildred's development into a hateful, cheating, lying, mean, vicious, and stupid older sister. While Rachel manages to grow up to be a normal person, Mildred cannot; she is the Bad Sister.
