Aztec, I suppose, was afraid he was going to squish the thing. He planted his back feet firmly into the soft ground and his butt nearly bumped the ground as well. He dead stopped but my body didn't. I fought with centrifugal force to stay in the saddle and not go over his head. Face planting on the ground was not something I looked forward to doing. I am sure my hands, arms, legs, feet, and other body parts were flailing about. These are the tales of Aztec, an adopted Arabian, and his novice rider.
