Beskrivelse
On December 1, 1958 a fire tore through a dilapidated Catholic school in the Humboldt Park section on Chicago killing 95 children and three nuns. This book examines the bureaucratic complacency and official incompetence/misconduct which led up to the tragedy and tainted the subsequent investigation. It also salutes the courage of those who responded to the disaster and had to deal with its aftermath.
