Atop Pegasus

Orphaned at a young age and adopted by her eccentric aunt, Lara cannot overcome the loneliness and isolation which overshadows her very existence. Then, one day, she falls in love. From that time forward, her existence finds meaning only in the context of her passion for George. The fact that he is happily married to his invalid wife does not deter her. In time, that very determination draws her into a forbidden relationship. This is a story of love -- childhood love, adolescent unrequited love, and the maturing, blossoming love of a young adult female, who must come to terms with all the moral and emotional challenges which accompany an illicit love affair. In the end, through all the angst and soul searching which inundate Lara and George, they discover that love given from the deepest core of the heart cannot help but find its own unsullied truth.
