I wrote this manual because I would like to show how Personality can also be analysed through Astrology, not only through the tools of psychology, but to do this I needed to start from the latter, from a 'scientific and systematic' categorisation of Personality.
I do not enter into the debate on the use of diagnostic manuals, it is not my subject, but I needed, in order to complete the work, rigid and fixed grids to be able to relate them to the astrological alphabet, in this sense the DSM-5[1] seemed the most useful for my purpose.
In my work I begin by analysing the personality disorders described in the DSM-5 from page 747 to page 794, then I will move on to the others following the index.
It is of fundamental importance to remember that we can fully interpret a birth chart, giving a profound and useful meaning to the consultant when he presents us with his difficulty, his problem; the consultant must ask us the fateful question, talk to us about what he cares about, in this way we can use the astrological symbols and look for connections with the question and his experience. While I was writing this book I tried to do just that, imagining that I had before me a consultant who was the bearer of a disorder/model, and in this way I went looking for correspondences. We must never do the opposite, the consultant must recognise himself in the astrological narrative, he must find his points of contact, he must not be forced by us, he must be the first to ask us something, to talk about himself.
