The contributions of the book examine the realia of astrological activity, a domain which has received little attention within in the field of the history of astrology in Medieval and Early Modern times. What can be said about the social and academic background of the astrologers? What kind of techniques and methods did they use and how can their general understanding of astrology be described? On the other hand, what did the clients expect and in which ways did the use astrological counselling for themselves?
