ASAR is Amateur Search And Rescue which allows anyone to be a rescue hero. No special training is required, no physical abilities required, no age limit, no handicap too big. Everyone can be an ASAR volunteer. The intention of this book is to get society as a whole to always be ready to help each other in a disaster situation whether it is one person needing to be rescued or an entire region in need of disaster relief. With climate change, terrorism, war, earthquakes and whatever else life can throw at us; our world will be a better place if everyone does what they are able to do to help each other when accidents and disasters strike.
