Movie posters - those colourful harbingers of pleasures 'Coming Soon' to the local Strand, Roxy and Bijou - have become a people's art form to be enjoyed on their own merits, and to be admired and valued for their aesthetic and historical significance. These posters exploited the themes as much as the art and popular culture of the times.
