Marie-Alphonse Nicholas Joseph Jongen was born in Li ge, Belgium in December, 1873, and died in 1953. He is one of the most renowned composers in modern Belgium for his neo-classical construction and colorful impressionistic harmonization. This score includes a separate trombone part.
