Stuck hurtling through space, Captain Ki and his crew of 29 surviving crew members have to do something they have never had to do in the whole history of their planet: interact with one another. The problem is, though, that doing such a thing is something their society has forever banned. Put in a situation that is unlike anything a Xi-Klick has ever had to face, the crew find that they will have to make a choice that could possibly change the history of spaceflight for the Xi-Klick people. Do they land on a planet which to them is paradise and escape a robotic, tyrannical life, or go back home and finish the mission they started? With a religious officer converting many of the weak minded crew members on board, the answer may not be so easy.
