This is a road trip essential for families.

Remember the Griswold family, in the station wagon, driving across the country on an epic road trip?

That was my family, every summer.

We had one radio. And somehow we were never bored.

This book is as much a collection of my memories as it is a guidebook for parents trying to find ways to get their kids off screens and actually interact with their kids through communication that doesn't involve text messages.

We played these road trip games so often that they are now a happy part of my childhood memories.

All the games are great because the driver can participate in road trip activity without taking their eyes off the road and their hands off the wheel.

The object of all the games is to NOT BE BORED. Nobody is a winner or a loser.

There is little chance of disagreement, at least not from the games.

These games are for everyone who has verbal skills, can talk in sentences, knows some letters and can count their fingers.

Everyone gets a turn. Everyone gets to demonstrate how unique and wonderful they are, including the parents.
