Aphorisms from the Ancient Chinese is one of the famous classics in ancient China. The title of this book was first seen in The Peony Pavilion , the legendary (play) by Tang Xianzu, a playwright in the Ming Dynasty, from which it can be inferred that the book was written no later than the Ming Dynasty.
The book is composed of aphorisms, maxims and proverbs, which have an abundant resource of views and thoughts, bringing together the wisdom and philosophy of life of the ancient Chinese.
