Valentina Bianco loves Autumn in her Eastern Tennessee community, and this season brings the anticipation of crisp cool air, warm mugs of spiced cider and the best friends she's ever had.

That is, until murder brings an unwelcome chill to Long Lakes.



When a neighbor is found dead in her own home, it spells more than trouble. It's the beginning of a game of cat and mouse with a killer no one suspects. When Valentina's friends start poking into places they don't belong, there's bound to be trouble.



Making things worse is trouble in the romance between Valentina and Jack Erikson, the man she's grown to love and, somewhat grudgingly, depend on for the support she hadn't known she would need. Will he help her find a killer and stay by her side, or is he looking to stray?
