Anthologisches Schreiben

The book critically analyzes the mind map of a male bourgeois literary scene in the early 20th century (Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Walter Benjamin and Rudolf Borchardt) under the big impact of the social, political and cultural transformations. For this purpose, Fabian Saner proposes the term "Anthological Writing" as a productive tool to confront the contradictory orientations of these german-jewish literary intellectuals in their aesthetical and political encounter with the past.
