ANCIENT CARNIA AND OTHER STORIES: The collection includes the version in the Friulian language

Most of the stories in the collection try to give merit to the courage of the folks from Carnia who try to defend their identity, their language, their history, in the awareness that men are limited in time and space and their work might be incomplete or even vain in the end.

Even though the last stories are not set in Carnia, they show that also in the defeat, in the frustration of failure, the characters try to find a sun spell, a brushstroke of colour which might give their life a meaning, where suffering is not lived as resignation but as a passage to set off again.
