An Unexpected Romance

Rylee Abrams had landed the coveted position of school nurse at the Waterstown Middle School. Now she could drop her five-year-old son off at the primary and drive two short blocks to work. She loved it.

David Hunt was the new vet at the Lakeside Quarter Horse Ranch north of Waterstown. Widowed several years ago, he was raising his two daughters Marcie and Susie and wanted them settled into school as soon as it began.

The first day of school Rylee and David meet. Chance brings them together again, but chance might also tear their friendship apart.

Times have been rough for both. Quietly they enter each other's lives, looking for friendship, companionship for their children, redemption, and growing closer to Jesus. They offer each other a part of themselves that seems to be missing.
