W C. Fields was a well-known and beloved comedian of early Hollywood film fame and was also well known for his atheist views. His girlfriend came to visit him in the hospital when he was near the end of his days and found him reading the Bible. She asked, "What are you doing" to which he replied, "I'm looking for loopholes".
