In his doctoral thesis Felix Diehl examines a School Shooting from criminological and criminal law perspective. After years of planning, a young perpetrator, who was psychopathologically disturbed in a serious manner, commited a School Shooting at his school in order to become famous by killing classmates and teachers. In doing so he was oriented towards former School Shooters with whom he was occupied with excessively. Besides on-site interviews, the comprehensive self-narratives of the young offender constitute an important source of the survey. Reflecting the interdisciplinary research in detail the findings of the case study are discussed and evaluated. Beyond the scientific audience the book addresses all those, who bear responsibility for children, juveniles and adolescents. Especially teachers, parents, psychiatrists, psychologists and law enforcement officers can obtain information about warning signs of a School Shooting.
