Beskrivelse
Ron Woodford is an old dairy farmer who has been admitted to The Grove, Aged Care Facility, when his Parkinson's disease became too difficult to manage at home.
He now inhabits a drab room and peers at the outside world through a window surrounded by drab curtains.
He eats drab food in a communal dining room where the tables are draped in cheap, plastic tablecloths featuring gawdy sunflowers.
Then Ron's wife of over fifty years informs him that their relationship has never been what he thought it was.
His life is governed by pain, helplessness, hopelessness and depression - even the old bloke in the mirror appears to be an ugly caricature of the Ron Woodford that used to be.
Then, one day, Ron finds a new resident, Frank, the Ferret, O'Farrell, sitting at the dining table and suddenly things become very interesting.
On the rollercoaster of pain, fear, love that might have been and dark, tongue in cheek, humour, Ron is constantly reminded that, in the end, no one here gets out alive.
