American Painters and Sculptors

This is a modest survey of the American art over the last two or three centuries, with the accent on its evolutionary development. The author has selected few representative selections from the work of the masters that richly exemplify this country's heritage. The paintings and the sculptures presented can be a part of mini-course in art appreciation. Event though titled as "An Art Collector's Guide" this material is conceived to have appeal to everybody interested in art. It does not require intellectual effort to examine and to appreciate the artists' ideas and skills. It should be a pleasant experience.
