American Internment examines the Japanese American experience within each of the ten concentration camps established by the United States government during World War II. The camps were a result of war hysteria and racial prejudice and served as the middle ground where a Japanese American minority was held captive by the state and subjected to discrimination, segregation, and arbitrary control.
