Ameloration of insulin resistance by herbal plants

Diabetes melletus is a common metabolic disease resulting from defect in insulin secretion, insulin action or both.So current study was designed to investigate effect of aqueous extracts of pterocarpus santalinus heartwood and brassica nigra seeds on amelioration insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes melletus and evaluate the roles of these extracts on recover of diabetic complications such as diabetic nephropathy and diabetic liver injury in streptozotocin induced diabetic rats.
