Brian Mason knew nothing about murder mysteries. He only wrote sentimental, trashy, love novels. But it was intriguing, he had to admit: a beautiful woman murdered in the midst of a party.

Mason starts to ask questions, becomes hooked, not only on the quest for the murderer, but also on the larger than life, beautiful, erudite, woman who was there for the same reason he was.
