The four islands of Amami Oshima, Tokunoshima, northern Okinawa, and Iriomote (Kagoshima and Okinawa prefectures), are known for their diverse and unique ecosystems. Many rare animals such as the Amami rabbit, the Ryukyu long-tailed giant rat, Iriomote cat, Lidth's jay, Okinawa rail live on the islands. This is a captivating collection from Takeshi Fukazawa, who has taken photographs of these particular species and sceneries for years.
