This series includes a selection of historically important nineteenth and early twentieth century narratives written about Africa by missionaries and other figures connected with the church. The introductions are designed to place the narratives in their appropriate historical contexts, offer fresh biographical studies of the authors, and provide a critique of modern scholarship.
