»General Face Veil Bans in France and Europe. An Examination of Human Rights Law, Dogma and Legal Policy, Taking into Account ECtHR Jurisprudence and the >Minimum Requirements for Living Together<«: With a focus on France, the study deals with the complex situation and the manifold legal problems originated by bans on religious face veiling and their varying justifications. It examines the origins, effects and conceptualization of general bans on face veiling in public in various European countries and measures them against the guarantees of the ECHR.
