All the Way Home

If Jack were honest with himself, he would realize that he fell in love with Abby the instant he met her. And Abby's sweet little girl, Lucy, pulled Jack's heart right out of his chest. One might think this was a match made in heaven: never been married man and never been married woman, little girl in need of a father, and all three looking for eternal happiness. But it wasn't a perfect match. Not in the beginning, anyway. They were all emotionally challenged, and in very different ways. Before the romance had any chance of getting off the ground, Jack and Abby had to first fix themselves. This romance is about very real issues: a debilitating disease and how to cope with it, depression, PTSD, drug addiction, prostitution, raising a child by yourself--issues that seem insurmountable. With all that going on in the lives of Abby and Jack, it's easy to lose sight of the most powerful thread running throughout the story: supportive love from family and friends. In the tradition of a true romance, this tender but realistic story has a most satisfying ending.
