Beskrivelse
"And the power bursts forth
And the vision is above
And you are living it
Living it all" ALL THE STARS, a Visual Poem: A long poem about visions, longing and transcending "dead-ends" with courage and determination. A combination of words and graphic images teleporting the reader to a euphoric state that makes one appreciate the sweetness and bitterness of life more, the way it is with its hardships and its joys. All the Stars is the only book where the poetess uses photos as well as graphic designs and words to express her message in a multi media way. To the salvation of our visions comes the poet with fiery passion, as she describes in her long poem "And the poet comes, on a horse of fire, And the poet comes, with a magic sword". Graphic poetry, innovative, inspirational, like you have never seen before in a dynamic, leading edge, visionary poem: This is the poetry of the future, making it accessible and appealing to a wide audience of all spectrums. Alexandra Psaropoulou is a visual poet who has been composing poems and canvas paintings ever since a young girl. Later on, becoming a graphics artist and collaborating with large publishing companies in New York and Greece, she started creating her own style of poetry which expresses her inspiration and enhances the experience of the reader, while delivering her message. After losing her artwork in a house fire which destroyed everything except her poems with graphics saved online, she decided to focus only on her graphic designs and poetry books, which she has been working on for many years already. In continuation of this book, she created "The Flying" series, also on amazon.
Alexandra was born in Greece and later studied at Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge. She lived in Paris and New York, before returning to Greece to settle. Her father was a renowned poet and author and had a successful publishing company in Greece. Her mother was a ballet dancer, critic, and teacher as well as president of the Dance Union in Greece. Her family social circles, ever since a little girl, were rich with artists, writers, and academics. She lives with her husband, a classical guitar soloist, and four children outside of Athens by the sea and publishes her own poetry on Amazon.
Each of Alexandra's books is a symphony composed of a long poem accompanied by graphic illustrations that convey "The Flying".
