Volume II continues the saga of Micajah Autry as he pursues his love interest, Marie Laveau, for 20 years. Volume II deepens our understanding of Marie as she continues her exile in Europe eventually becoming the secretary for Napoleon Bonparte imprisoned by the English on St. Helena. Later she becomes the mistress of Lord Byron before his death in Greece sends her and her children to New Orleans. After many twists and turns, Micajah decides his destiny lies in one final journey to Texas and an old Spanish mission known as the Alamo. The trilogy will conclude with "Thirteen Days" with authenticated history merging with the "what if" of magical realism.
