Music and singers in Arab-Muslim literature was an art celebrated in many royal courts. In this series of Music and singing in Arab-Muslim Culture we cover Music instrumentation, legality-illegality, male and female singers in Arab history. The selection of this topic was in the process of Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi fil Mahjar (Revival of Arab Heritage in Diaspora project, sponsored by the Arab American Encyclopedia for the purpose of serving young Arab generations in Diaspora. The Publisher author is an Arab Palestinian scholar. His interest is provide knowledge about Arab and Muslim literature and civilization. Dr. Yahya resides in Michigan, USA, has four children and ten grandchildren.
