Beskrivelse

A mysterious stranger walks out of the vast Empty Quarter of the Arabian Desert, to wreak havoc on the civilized world. The desert tribes know him as, Al Kunja, after the Omani dagger, a wickedly curved double-edged crescent of steel. Al Kunja, leader of a highly organized group of terrorists, has sworn to drive the infidels from the ancient lands of Arabia. Al Kunja's armed camp is an oasis hidden deep in the desert from where he masterminds devilish schemes to disrupt shipping East of Suez, and cut off vital oil supplies to the West. An attack on the oil pipelines in the Saudi Desert is planned to disrupt the flow of oil from the wells in the northern Gulf. In his quest to track down an international group of terrorists, Ali Falaknaz, a Colonel in the Dubai Defence Force, teams up with Jasmine Adjman of the Dubai Police. They set off on a mission that takes them deep into the Empty Quarter of the Arabian Desert, and the narrow, twisting, streets and dark alleys of Jeddah's Old Town. It is a race against time as two ships are sunk in quick succession and the terrorists are about to sabotage two important pipelines in the desert. As the trail grows hotter, the plot thickens, and they find themselves sucked into a vortex of terror and intrigue much wider than either of them could have imagined. The author is well placed to gorge readers on data and description, vivid and sometimes gory detail, after thirty years in the field as a marine casualty investigator.
