Addy meets Aiyanna in a magical new world, and she discovers the tribes of Shi Ma under attack by one of their own. Greed and power divide the tribal families, forcing them to decide between the needs of a few and the needs of the many. Ultimately, they'll have to face the difficult challenge of refusing a friend. With incredible magic, strong family bonds, and a vision from a strange, old medicine woman, the tribes of Shi Ma struggle to find peace. At home, Addy is faced with problems of her own. She learns that having a huge secret, no matter how amazing it is, isn't all it's cracked up to be.
