After the world shattered

The world broke one day. Civilization sputtered to a standstill when entire continents vanished and the laws of physics were altered. Only nine people survived in the north as refugees fled what little land was left, founding the sanctuary of Saint East.



As they passed away, they left three messages regarding what would shortly come after them. They began by describing a mysterious, alien force that was engulfing the globe. They issued a more urgent warning on the Strike, its human hosts. Third, they foresaw a conflict over human freedom.
