Beskrivelse

After a disastrous visit to Iran, Greg Alexander has lost his Landrover and, with it, his travel adventure business. He's wanted by the CIA, his marriage has ended, he's broke and he desperately wants to avoid having to take an office job.

Fortunately, he is taken on as a driver and deputy expedition leader on a trip to Johannesburg from London. Maybe this time everything will go smoothly.

Some of his passengers have other ideas, though. They see an opportunity to make money through smuggling and for other dangerous extracurricular activities.

Once more, Greg finds he's bitten off more than is comfortable, travelling through unstable politics countries in central Africa and coping with the animosity of unreliable colleagues. Fortunately, Kirsty, one of his co-drivers, has his back and he's joined by Mary, a passenger from his previous trip.

Greg and his passengers face difficult weather conditions, a political coup, murder and betrayal, culminating in a brush with both the CIA and the South African Police.

Inspired by an actual journey, this story is a combination of travelogue, mystery, thriller and romance.
