Today, alcohol and other drug abuse scientists have access to a broad array of clinical resources that integrate a commonsensical approach to addiction treatment with science. Addictions: A Comprehensive Guidebook is a superb example of one such resource. Here, in one volume, is both practical and scholarly information for alcohol and drug abuse specialists, primary care providers, clinicians, policy-makers, and others involved in programs that are geared to help those who abuse or are dependent on alcohol and other drugs.
