This is a simple book to use with your favorite Bible story book, or other story book; for reading comprehension, spelling, and grammar practice. Spelling words include spelling words from Measuring Scale for Ability in Spelling, plus some others. There is space for writing other words from the story (not included) which the student reads. 1. Each day the student reads a story, from a separate story book not included. Comprehension Discussion Questions:2. Next the student discusses with the teacher the comprehension questions, or writes in the book their answers. Spelling:3. The student finds words from the story they want to learn to spell, and writes them on the available lines,4. If the words have letter couples, the student looks at the words and colors any letter couples as shown on the Color Coding Chart for Letter Couples. Tips For Spelling Memorization: A. Look at each word, and say the letters until you think you can spell it. B. Close your eyes, and picture the spelling in your mind. C. Then close your book, get a piece of paper, and let your teacher say the word while you spell it. D. Correct any words you didn't spell correct. E. Review the word again. Grammar: 5. Do the grammar exercises. Recitation: 6. Look at the verse, and say it.
