Abracdabra: A Max Marchino Mystery

Max Magee Marchino has lived in Black Duck County, Wisconsin, all of her life. She's raised four boys and buried four parents on her own. Newly turned fifty, she endures hot flashes, spoiled grandchildren, and three daughters-in-law named Elizabeth, all while helping her lackadaisical ex-husband, sheriff's deputy Jimmy Dean, solve crimes that in the lightly populated north woods.

When Max's daughter-in-law, Elisabeth-with-an-S, complains that her antique jewelry is missing after a family party, Max starts looking into a string of similar thefts across the county. Is this the act of some bored teens looking for a thrill, or something much darker?
