Life without love and hate is not a life at all.

Warben lives his life as any other of his kind, a slave to his craft and a researcher and scientist of the only planet he knows. Only through a break in routine, an act of intentional terrorism, can he experience a pain capable of awakening something strong enough to push the boundaries of the meaning of life. Through a journey of loss, love, sadness, and violence, Warben must answer the ultimate query of his own unconscious: why would they take her away?

Sleep and dreams have always been his life.

But life has come to meet him as well in a form he never could have imagined.

Disgraced human, Denver Kemp, has been exiled from Earth for crimes he neither regrets nor repents, and, through a miracle, he will fight and strive to believe that maybe on this new planet among these strange, beautiful creatures exists the purpose he has always sought from the skies.

Some seek something to live for. Others want something to die for. Some merely want blood and hate until the end brings silence and peace. Perhaps the demons he fights are merely angels in disguise. Perhaps his life has had a purpose all along.
